Sprint WebCapTel® On the Go allows you to LISTEN to your caller with one telephone device (wireless or standard telephone) while you READ the captions of everything that is said on a second wireless device.

BlackBerry® Smartphones

  • BlackBerry® Tour 9630™, BlackBerry® 8350i™ Nextel
  • Other BlackBerry® Smartphones with an Operating Systems (OS) of 4.6 or higher such as the BlackBerry® Bold and the BlackBerry® Storm
Instructions for using WebCapTel® on BlackBerry® Smartphones

Blackberry users can now read captions on select wireless phones! When using Sprint’s supported BlackBerry® Smartphones, follow the steps:

  1. JavaScript must be enabled in the browser. To enable JavaScript:
    • Open the Blackberry browser. Press the MENU key.
    • In the ‘Menu’ scroll to ‘Options’
    • Now, click on ‘Browser Configuration’
    • Select ‘Support JavaScript’, making sure it has a check mark next to it it. Add a check mark if it does not have one.
    • Press the ESCAPE key. You should see "Changes made!"
    • Highlight "SAVE" and click.
    • Close the BlackBerry® browser and reopen.
  2. After enabling Javascript, go to www.sprintcaptel.com on your BlackBerry® Smartphone and log in. If you do not already have a Sprint WebCapTel account, you will need to register first. You can register right on your BlackBerry® Smartphone.
  3. Once you have logged into www.sprintcaptel.com, you will need a second telephone to speak and hear your caller. Any kind of phone will do – even another wireless phone.

Windows Mobile® 6 Enabled Smartphones

  • Windows Mobile TouchPro
  • Any wireless device with Windows Mobile® 6 Operating System (OS) or higher
Instructions for using WebCapTel® on Windows Mobile 6 wireless devices

Using your Windows Mobile® 6 Enabled Smartphone, follow the steps below to begin reading captions of what your caller is saying on your wireless device:

  1. Open the Internet Explorer on your Windows Mobile® 6 Smartphone and enter www.sprintcaptel.com in the web browser and log in using your WebCapTel® user name and password. If you do not already have a Sprint WebCapTel® account, you will need to register first. You can register right on your Windows Mobile® 6 Smartphone.
  2. Once you have logged into www.sprintcaptel.com, you will need a second telephone, such as a cellular or landline phone.
