mobile Relay Conference Captioning (mobileRCC) gives you the freedom to participate in a conference call while on the road. mobileRCC is a wireless application that provides secure real-time text of your conference call to your BlackBerry® or Microsoft Smartphone device. Simply download mobileRCC by visiting http://mobilercc.sprintrelay.com from the Internet browser on your mobile device. Once the mobileRCC icon displays on your wireless device screen, click on the icon and then enter your name and event ID (event ID will be provided when you order real-time service for your event).

Information: mobileRCC is a data intensive application. It is highly recommended you check with your provider regarding your data plan charges to ensure you do not incur any additional fees.

mobileRCC is now available for BlackBerry® smartphones and Microsoft® Windows® version 5.0 or higher wireless devices.

Using mobileRCC

Once mobileRCC is installed, open the application and enter your name (used for identification purposes only) as well as your Event ID. The Event ID is the confirmation number you receive when ordering our real-time services. For more information regarding this service please visit Relay Conference Captioning.

For BlackBerry®
  1. Use your Trackwheel or Trackball to select "Speak Into Event" from the mobileRCC menu
  2. Type your message in the text field which appears
  3. When your message is complete, use your Trackwheel or Trackball to select "Send Message". You may also send the message by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard.
For Windows Mobile©
  1. Select "Speak Into Event" from the mobileRCC menu (accessed via the Right Soft key on your device)
  2. Type your message in the text field which appears
  3. When your message is complete, select "Send Message" from the mobileRCC menu. You may also send the message by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard or by pressing the Action key on your device.

Should you wish to have Speak Into Event enabled for your event, you can simply let us know at the time that you order captioning. When this facility is not enabled for an event, the Speak Into Event menu item will be unavailable.

Note: Speaking into an event does not make use of SMS, MMS or other messaging services managed by your wireless provider. There is no impact on the number of text messages you've sent relative to your wireless service contract as a result of using the Speak Into Event functionality. Wireless data rates do, however, apply.
