Getting Started with Sprint Mobile IP
Once you’ve downloaded and installed the Sprint Mobile IP Relay app to your device, use the links below to find out how to register for your own free 10-Digit Number and how to make calls using Sprint Mobile IP Relay.
The free Sprint® Mobile IP Relay Android app is available for people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or have speech disabilities . The app enables users to place and receive Sprint IP (text) relay service calls within the United States (including its territories). International calls will either be blocked or terminated.
Although Sprint® Mobile IP app can be used for emergency calling, it may not function the same as traditional 911/E911 services. By using the Sprint® Mobile IP app to connect with Sprint IP Relay for emergency calling, you agree that Sprint is not responsible for any damages resulting from errors, defects, malfunctions, interruption or failures in accessing or attempting to access emergency services through Sprint® Mobile IP whether caused by the negligence of Sprint or otherwise.
A separate 10-digit number will be assigned to the Sprint® Mobile IP app to allow end-users to port out their number to other IP relay providers, per FCC requirements. By obtaining a separate 10-digit number for the Mobile IP app, the Sprint mobile device and mobile service will continue on the Sprint network. Currently, the Sprint® Mobile IP app is available only on Android 2.1 or higher phones provisioned using Sprint's service.
